An interview with Vincent Blanchard, Kerlink's sales manager for EMEA, was published in the new issue of Protection magazine. In an interview, Vincent Blanchard presented interesting information about LoRaWAN as a key technology for future connectivity, geolocation capabilities through the LoRaWAN network, and more. As Kerlink is a world leader specializing in LoRaWAN network based IoT solutions and co-founder and board member of LoRa Alliance, more information is provided about LoRa Aliance itself and their benefits and direction in the future. Particular focus has been placed on innovation, reliability, scalability and energy efficiency in implementing the desired IoT solutions.

The R&D commitment is part of Kerlink's DNA and has helped the company become a world leader in high-tech technical expertise and LoRaWAN equipment. In this way, Kerlink is committed to providing its customers with innovative, reliable, scalable and energy-efficient IoT solutions. Some recent examples include Kerlink Wanesy Geolocation and iStation. iStation, as the newest member of the WirnetTM family, provides 4G backhaul connectivity, meets the requirements for fast and easy deployment and management of an external LoRaWAN IoT network. Throughout the article, the topic of smart city development using IoT technology is highlighted. The fact is that many smart cities are planning to use LoRaWAN as the most appropriate IoT technology for their core communications infrastructure, that is, to use it as a base that will integrate waste management and control, air quality control, public lighting management to traffic monitoring and other functionalities that will optimize city life. Currently, LoRaWAN technology in Croatia and the region is most commonly implemented in the integration of smart public lighting management and parking management, and there are plans to expand and integrate other smart city services on the same platform to the same platform using the already implemented IoT communication structure. Also, we should not forget the very interesting application of LoRaWAN technology in the Adria region, which is smart metering, ie an IoT solution for the remote reading of gas, water and electricity meters. Mr Blanchard concluded that energy efficiency, operational efficiency, customer service, cost savings and security benefits, among other things, demonstrate what networks can bring to businesses and public companies around the world. This is one of the reasons LoRaWAN has become the standard for low-energy networking in large areas and will only develop its strength in the future.
